John B. Colson

John B. Colson served in the same Confederate military company that Nancy’s brother Jasper did during the War Between the States. John B. Colson served as the 2nd Sergeant of Company E, 19th Louisiana Infantry Regiment at his official enlistment in December 1861. He was elected as the company’s 2nd Lieutenant on 8 May 1862. He was sick in the hospital at Greenville, Alabama between November 1862 and February 1863, but returned to duty after that. He was wounded at the Battle of Chickamauga on 20 September 1863, and then absent in the hospital through 1864. A medical examination board retired him from the Confederate service on 3 November 1864. - Tim Hudson

We have John in Union Parish Louisiana on the 1850 and 1860 census. We know his ancestors and the history, But we can find no information on his and Nancy's marriage nor their children. Our G Grandmother was Sallie Colson (Savannah). Her death certificate states that her father was John Colson, mother unknown. Thanks, Connie

I need to know who Amanda's parents and family were. Pleas help somebody!!!
Amanda was born Nov. 7, and died July 23,1941 while visiting her daughter Florence Spillers Howard in Dallas,Tx.
Amanda married John W. Spillers, after his death, she married John A. Robinson.
Her daughter Lula F. was my great grandma. There are health reasons why we need to find her family, because we must see if two Saunders/Saunders women in the family were related to one another. They are both closely related to us.
Bless you all, Diane"
