Kim Office of Clerk of court of Appeals Deed Book M-pages 410, 411, 412 This indenture made this 9th day of June in the year one thousand eight hundred and nine between Lyddall Bacon Junior and Patsey his wife, Langston Bacon and Sally his wife and Edmund Bacon and Eleanor his wife all of the county of Franklin and the State of Kentucky of the one part and Achilles Sneed of the same county and State of the other part witnesseth that the said Lyddall Bacon and wife Langston Bacon and wife and Edmund Bacon and wife are desirous of conveying to the said Achilles Sneed without recourse on them or any of them and subject to the locators claim, all the right title interest and claim which they and each of them have desired and hold immediately from their lat father Lyddall Bacon dec’d. As heir in and to the several tracts of land herein after specified and also all the right title and interest in and to the said tracts of land which hat been conveyed to them and each of them from their brother John Bacon. But to reserve all the right title interest and claim which they and each of them have and hold as heirs of the heirs of the said Lyddall Bacon dec’d-which portions derived immediately as heirs from their late father Lyddall Bacon dec’d and conveyed from their Brother John Bacon amount to one with part of each tract after deduction the locators proportion. That is on e sixth from the said Lyddall and wife, one sixth from the said Langston and wife and one sixth from the said Edmund and wife. In consideration where of and for and in consideration of one dollar in hand paid by the said Sneed to the said Lyddall Langston and Edmund at and before the sealing the these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged they have bargained and sold any by these presents the said Lyddall and wife, Langston and wife, and Edmund and wife do give grant bargain sell alien enforce convey confirm and release unto the said Achilles Sneed and his heirs the said three sixth parts of the following tracts or parcels of land lying and being in Madison County and located in the name of Lyddall Bacon on land office treasury Warrants No. 10591-10592-10593 and 10594 towit one tract of one thousand three hundred and ninety acres lying in the waters of the north branch fork of Roccastle and copper creek a branch of Dicks river. One other tract of one thousand three hundred and ninety one acres lying on the water of the North Fork of Rockcastle. One other tract of one thousand three hundred and ninety acres lying on water of Muddy Creek. One other tract of three hundred acres lying on the waters of Paint Lick and Silver Creeks as by reference to the patents issued therefore in the name of the said Lyddall Bacon (since dec’d) and in the name of Langston Bacon and others his heirs and so forth will more fully appear with the appurtenances subject to the locators claim. To have and to hold the said bargained and sold three sixth parts and appurtenances (subject to the locators claim) to the only proper use benefit and behalf of this the said Achilles Sneed his heirs Executors, administrators and assigns forever-And the said Lyddall Jr. Langston and Edmund their heirs executors administrators and assigns the said bargained and sold premises and appurtenances to the said Achilles Sneed his heirs executors administrators and assigns will warrant and defend against themselves and all claiming under them or any of them last not from any other person or claim whatever. It being fully understood and agreed that the said Lyddall Jr. Langston and Edmund their heirs executors administrators and assigns are not to be any wise responsible for the right title interest or claim herein intended to be conveyed but that the said Sneed is to take every risque trouble and expenses upon himself his heirs and in testimony whereof the said Lyddall and wife, Langston and wife, Edmund and wife have hereunto severally and jointly set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first above written- Lyddall Bacon Patsey Bacon Langston Bacon Sally Bacon Edmund Bacon Nelly Bacon ********************* deed recorded in Deed Book N at pages 204, 205 and 206 This Indenture made this 31st day of November, One Thousand Eight Hundred and eight, between Langston Bacon and Sally, his wife, and Liddall Bacon and Martha his wife, and Benedict Bacon all of the county of Franklin and State of Kentucky of the one part and Achilles Sneed of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth. Whereas Liddall Bacon of New Kent County and State of Virginia, died possessed of or entitled to an interest in five tracts of land containing in the whole 5000 acres 5562 acres lying now in Madison County and State of Kentucky and which were located in the name of said Liddall Bacon with the surveyor of Lincoln County and are the same tract of land mentioned and described in a deed of conveyance from Edmond Bacon to said Achilles Sneed bearing date the 5th day of March 1803 and duly recorded in the office of the Court of Appeals in Book 11, page 211 and which interest in said lands by the death of said Liddal Bacon became vested in their children and heirs to wit: John, Langston, Liddall, Edmund, Benedict or Richard, Nathaniel and Elizabeth Bacon and whereas the said John Bacon one of the said X children and heirs aforesaid hath refused to claim any part or benefit of the said interest in the said recited tracts of land. Therefore for and in consideration of the sum of 450 dollars to them the said Langston Bacon and Sally, his wife, Liddall Bacon and Martha, his wife and Richard or Benedict Bacon in hand paid by the said Achilles Sneed at the before sealing and delivery hereof the receipt here whereof they do hereby acknowledge they the said Langston Bacon and Sally, his wife, Liddall Bacon and Martha his wife, and Benedict (alias Richard Bacon) have bargained, granted and sold and by these presents do give grand bargain and sell alien and ?? release convey and confirm unto the said Achilles Sneed his heirs and assigns forever three sixths of or one half of all the interest properly claim and demand which the said Liddall Bacon, deceased, claimed was entitled to had or might of had in and to the said recited tracts or parcels of land and which by his death became vested in his heirs and children aforesaid. To have and to hold the said three sixth of or one half of the said recited interest in and to the above recited tracts of land together will all and singular the appurtenances privileges and advantages there unto belonging on in any wise appertaining unto the said Achilles Sneed, his heirs and assigns forever free from the claim or claims of them the said Langston Bacon and Sally his wife, Liddall Bacon and Martha his wife, and Benedict Alias Richard Bacon there and each of their heirs and from all and every person or persons whatsoever claiming or to claim the same by, through, or under of them or either of them or by, through or under the said Liddall Bacon, deceased. The said Langston Bacon and Sally his wife, and Liddall Bacon and Martha his wife and Benedict alias Richard Bacon will warrant and forever defend. The reason why the expression Benedict alias Richard Bacon is here used is in consequence of the patent of one thousand and ninety acres issued to Richard (among others) instead of Benedict Bacon as heirs and of Liddall Bacon, deceased, the name Benedict being mistaken for Richard. In witness whereof the said Langston Bacon and Sally his wife, Liddall Bacon and Martha his wife, and Benedict Bacon have hereunder set their hands and affixed their seal the day and year afore written. Deed between Benedict Bacon and Achilles Sneed from Deed Bk. N dated 8/24/1809 page 202. It reads: Between Benedict Bacon of town of Frankfort, and State of Kentucky on one part and Achilles Sneed of same place of the other part witnesseth he the said Bacon hath granted bargained and sold by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto said Sneed All his interest as one of the heirs of nathaniel Bacon deceased who was one of the heris of Lyddall Bacon deceased 1391 acres north frok of Roccastle copper creek branch of Dicks River. 19th Feb. 1810 page 203 Deed Book N Nathaniel Bacon dec'd brother of Lyddall. Madison County Formerly Lincoln, John Watkins DC Deed Book N page 204, 205, 206 Lyddall Bacon of New Kent County and State of Virginia died possessed of or entitled to an interest in 5562 acres lying in Madison County and State of Kentucky and which were located in name of said Liddall Bacon with the surveryor of Lincoln County and are the same tracts of land mentioned and described in a Deed of Conveyance from Edmund Bacon to said Achilles Sneed bearing date 5th day of March 1803 and duly recorded in this office of Court of Appeals in Bk H page 211 and which interest in said lands by death of said Liddall Bacon became ??? in their children and heirs towit: John, Langston, Lydall, Edmund, Benedict or Richard, Nathaniel, and Elizabeth Bacon.
