William Miles

I don't know why the last names are different. Several family trees list Miles as Blackborne's father, though. More research needed.

Robert Albritton

Albritton was originally rendered "Albrighton," and its exact origins have been lost. There are two theories, however. The first states that the name was derived from a 6th Century settler in Shropshire of Saxon origins named Alberic, whose name was given to the town where he lived, i.e. "Alberic's town", or as it is rendered in the Domesday book, "Llbricatone." Alberic's lands are near the present town of Shifnal. The second theory says the Normans may have given the name "Aethelbright" to a former Saxon town in the 11th Century.
