Served in United States Army during World War II, 10/15/1940 to 6/26/1945. 4th Infantry Division, 29th Field Artillery Battalion. Served in North Africa, Landed on Utah Beach during Normandy Invasion, Fought in Battle of the Bulge, and crossing of Rhine River into Germany.
1985 Senior Citizen of the Year, Fayette County, Georgia.
She was married only 3 months when she died at age 14 after a swimming accident resulted in a broken back and paralizes.
