Thomas Landrum Jr.

Another name: William Thomas Landrum, Jr.

February 23, 1778, enlisted as a Pvt. in 7th Va. Reg.

January 1781 List of Classes in Culpeper County for Recruiting this States Quota of Troops to Serve in the Continental Army. Thomas Landrum is No. 52.

Lived in Orange County, Virginia at least until 1786.
Abt 1803 moved to Oglethorpe County, Georgia.

(1759-1833), served as a private in the Revolutionary War (see tombstone markings). Served under Capts. Burnly & Lipscomb, served under Cols. Parker, Heath, and Morgan.

1832 placed on the Pension Roll of Scott County, Kentucky

April 13, 1833 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia Thomas's death is recorded in the minutes of the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Ogle. County.

May term of 1833, Will Book D page 6 of Ogle. County, his will was probated.
He names his wife Nancy and his sister Elizabeth Landrum.
His children's names were Elizabeth Brockman, John, James B., Mary Norton, William, Joseph, Whitfield, Hay T., Nancy Jennings, and Sarah B. Wray.

Thomas's children are named in Shedd's book on page 90 and he gives theirs births and to whom they married.

Prominent descendants include Leonidas Mell Landrum, Superintendent of the Atlanta Public Schools and Rep. Philip M. Landrum.
