"Mrs. Bertha Ann Farris Lorena
Mrs. Bertha Ann Farris, 79, of Route 1, Lorena, died Saturday night in a local hospital. Graveside services were at 11 a.m. today at Waco Memorial Park, the Rev. Otis Watson officiating. Mrs. Farris was born in Coryell County and was a member of the Lorena Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Harvey Farris; two daughters, Doris Trammell of Dallas and Lois Tull of China Spring; four sons, Ellis Farris of Waco, Vernie Farris of Houston, Vennis Farris of Waco and Edgar Farris of Lorena; two brothers, P.M. Neatherlin of Groves and Mann Neatherlin of Gatesville; 22 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. The family will be at the Edgar Farris residence in Lorena."

Indicated Elizabeth Crider Nettles was living with her son Frederick D. Nettles and with her was Jane Nettles 12, f, mulatto. Jane would have been born in 1838 and since she was listed as a Nettles could have been a daughter of Elisha or one of his sons.

Another marriage date: 13 Mar 1823 in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana
He was married to Elizabeth Cole. Elizabeth Cole was born about 1808 in Plaquemine Brulee, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. Information found on the internet on familytreemaker.com, Elizabeth Cole filed for separation of bed and board for defamation of character on September 29, 1824 and a court date was set. Isham was notified but did not show up. Elizabeth presented her case and was granted a separation (Suit #905, St. Landry Parish).
On November 12, 1829, Elizabeth Cole's petitions for final divorce from Isham Nettles and it was given. Sources show that Isham and Elizabeth had six children.
