David W. Wheat

David was accused of murder (Calvin Frost, Alice's uncle) shortly after their marriage, and fled Louisiana, never to be heard from again, although suspected by the Wheat family, that he fled to Texas.


Robert J. Weems

Family story:
Lee bought a new $300.00 Model T Ford. When he got the vehicle home he had the family help him put it up on blocks so that the tires would not rot. Every so often he would get in the car and start it so the battery would not wear down. Lee never took the car off the blocks - he was afriad to drive.

Research needed, a possible daugther of Robert:
Gertrude Weemes (b. 8/21/1917) - wife of O Z Roy is buried in the same cemetery.


Jennie L. Frost

Robert and Jennie had two daughters.


Daniel Frester Lenard

Family story:
Dan was born on a Choctaw Indian reservation in Mississippi and went by the name Rufus. He hated reservation life. He left the reservation with his wife and several small children (Gennie being one of them). To protect his family, he changed their names to Lenard. As a result, all family rights as Indians were lost. Freedom for the family was too important. Dan feared being found and then being sent back to the reservation.

Family story: Dan was of French descent.

Family story:
He came up the Ouachita River to Caldwell Parish, Louisiana. He homestead on Caples Road, Ouachita Parish, Louisiana.
He wore his hair in a ponytail. Family joke: He was the first hippy in Louisiana.

The 1910 Census states that he was married twice. First wife is unknown.


Sarah E. Bacon

Sally Bacon was a Pentecostal. She was said to be 3/4th Choctaw Indian.

Charlie M. Lenard

In 1920 Charlie, age 10, was living with his Aunt Omie Bacon and Uncle Allen Houze in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana.

Charlie had small pox when he was young. As a result, he could not have children.
Charlie married twice.
